Burton Goldstein is a native Washingtonian, graduating from Calvin Coolidge High School, and the George Washington University's School of Engineering and Applied Sciences.
Shellie Goldstein, born Rochelle Lois Hoffman, in Philadelphia, worked for Health and Human Services for thirty years, retiring after marrying Burton, and finding their community service volunteering work "interfered with her work time". She is still learning to eat crabs, Maryland style.
